Cleanliness & Safety
The entire float suite & float pod is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each session. The water undergoes a three step filtration process after each float. The water gets filtered and sanitized after every session using mechanical filtration, UV light, and hydrogen peroxide. This entire process takes 30 minutes which is why we have space in between appointments. The high concentration of Epsom salt also contributes to the overall purity as it naturally creates a more sterile and balanced aquatic environment. Our Sanitation Process & Procedures go far beyond industry standards and is of our highest priority at Float 42.
Each session is followed by a multi-step cleaning and turnover process by your Float Coach.

Frequently Asked Questions

After every float session the water goes through multiple filtration cycles and sanitation processes. Our system uses mechanical filtration, UV light, and hydrogen peroxide rather than chlorine or bromine, which can be harsh in enclosed environments. This water may be the purist your body has ever experienced.
-
This is a common concern for first-time floaters. Most people find that the spacious design and ability to control lighting and the door quickly make them feel comfortable. You can leave the door partially open if you prefer.

Yes. Simply follow the same precautions you would when swimming in a pool.

Most people float comfortably in our pods. Guests up to about 450 pounds and heights 6'3" or taller have floated comfortably. Our deluxe float suite offers additional space for those who prefer it.
It’s okay if your first float feels new
For many people, the first few minutes of floating feel unfamiliar simply because stillness is unfamiliar. That’s normal. With a little time, most guests find their body settles, their mind softens, and the experience becomes deeply calming.
